Polaris Olfactive Materials (POM) develops 100% traceable, wild, single-origin naturals for independent perfumery, from our farms in Tunisia. Our materials are harvested and distilled with the seasons, with no middlemen, so farmers and everyone in the chain get better conditions and long-term work.
Each material is explored through plant, place, harvest and distillation – not simply to extract an oil, but to discover a more distinctive expression of the botanical.
We're proud to launch our first sample kit this Q3 season, and it has taken us alot of hard work and sweat in order to give these precious naturals a fair chance. If you like them, you can contact us for larger orders.

Origin
Our naturals grow in Tunisia and are always single-origin, with each material coming from one defined growing area. More than 95% of the botanicals we work with are wild, allowing climate, soil, altitude and season to become part of the character of the final material.
Traceability
Every material can be traced through its full journey – from coordinates and growing area to farmer, harvester, distiller, crop yield and production parameters. By keeping the supply chain direct, we maintain greater control over provenance and quality while creating a more transparent relationship between origin, production and perfumer.
Production
We treat distillation as part of creating the aromatic material, not simply extracting it. By adjusting parameters such as steam, cooling, vacuum and mixing for each botanical, we can bring forward less familiar facets while keeping every recipe documented, repeatable and practical for formulation.

What is Polaris Olfactive Materials?
Polaris Olfactive Materials, or POM, is a collection of botanical materials developed for independent and artisanal perfumery. Each material is selected to be explored through plant, place, harvest and distillation.
Who are the materials developed with?
The materials are developed together with our partners from Sweden and Tunisia, working closely with local botanicals, harvests and distillation.
What makes the materials different?
Our materials go through a process chain without middle hands, which means better wages, and conditions for the workers. All our materials come from the same place, which in this case means “Single origin”. 95% of our materials are wild, which gives the naturals a unique and one of a kind footprint.
The focus is not simply on extracting an essential oil, but on exploring a more distinctive expression of each botanical, its origin, condition, character and process.
All our materials are 100% traceable and can be traced back to aspects such as weather, temperature, location, distiller, crop yield and much more.
Are the materials always available?
No. Many materials are tied to seasonality, harvest and limited production, so availability may vary throughout the year.
Are quantities limited?
Yes. POM is produced in limited quantities to reflect the scale and nature of the materials and their production.
Where do the botanicals come from?
The first collection focuses on botanicals sourced and produced in Tunisia, with each material connected to its specific growing environment and production context.
What is included in the collection?
The collection includes materials such as Myrtle, Rosemary Cineol, White Wormwood, Mastic, Horsemint, Spearmint, Seville Lavender, Geranium,, Bay Laurel and Eucalyptus, depending on the current release. For the first 30 orders we also include a sample of Mediterranean Za’atar and Neroli. All our materials are single origin
Can I use the materials in formulation?
Yes. The materials are intended to be smelled, compared, studied and composed with. Exact usage and technical documentation should always be reviewed per material.
Will there be more materials in the future?
Yes. POM is intended as an evolving, seasonal collection, with new botanicals and expressions introduced over time.
Can I reorder individual materials?
Yes, you can. Availability depends on harvest, season and remaining stock. Some materials may return, while others may only be available for a limited period, and it is always the same with naturals. A spearmint distilled in 2026, might smell different in 2027, which is also the beauty of naturals.
