Marina Barcenilla UK

Marina Barcenilla is a Spanish independent perfumer based in the United Kingdom. She has an extensive career with her two award-winning perfume brands, Marina Barcenilla Parfums and AromAtom, and her School of Creative Perfumery, where she teaches in English and Spanish. She is also an Academician of the Spanish Perfume Academy.

Over the past few years, Marina has also been involved in several international projects creating fragrances for art installations, museums, and public spaces, including the Natural History Museum in London, the Asia Society gallery in New York, the UK Association for Science and Discovery Centres, and other science and astronomy organisations in the Canary Islands, mainland Spain, Portugal, France, Germany and Austria.

Integrating her perfumery work with her scientific life led to the launch of the innovative science outreach project AromAtom in 2017 and to her current research into the role of scent in long-duration crewed space missions.
