Bjørn Parfume

A story of courage, individuality, family, and freedom... about daring to step outside expectations and create your own path.

About this exhibitor

Bjørn Parfume began in 2011 with small, handcrafted perfumes made to order, each developed as a personal dialogue between scent and personality. What started as an individual passion for Martin van Wylich Neuert, gradually became a family project when his wife, Dorthe, brought her experience in visual storytelling from the media industry. Choosing family, togetherness, and creative freedom over conventional career paths became the foundation of the brand. Its spirit is also shaped by Martin's involvement in the 1980s punk movement, where individuality, courage, and the confidence to stand apart became lasting values. The belief that creativity requires courage rather than perfection is reflected in the brand's guiding mantra: "To fail is to live."

The Bjørn Parfume logo originated from a drawing by the couple's five-year-old son, a playful sketch they felt resembled a bear, inspiring both the symbol and the name. The bear has since become a representation of the brand's philosophy: finding the courage to step away from expectations, embrace creativity, and remain true to oneself.

Produced in France, the perfume oils combine traditional olfactory craftsmanship with Scandinavian minimalism and an unconventional perspective on fragrance as a form of storytelling, identity, and personal expression.
