Aromatic research house exploring the untapped scents of South American botanicals, blending science and artistry.
About this exhibitor
432 explores fragrance through the landscapes, plants, and cultural traditions of South America. Inspired by the idea of a shared natural resonance, the brand creates perfumes that connect ancestral plant knowledge, living geography, and scent. Its collection of seven fragrances draws on ingredients such as Andean resins, Pacific mosses, and native woods, presenting perfume as a form of storytelling rooted in place rather than convention. Alongside the fragrances, the ongoing documentary Aromas of Chile follows scent extraction, local communities, and the landscapes that inspire the brand.
Founded by perfumer Joel Martínez, a former lawyer raised in Arica, 432 combines European perfumery training with botanical distillation techniques developed in the Andes. His approach brings together technical perfumery, traditional herbal knowledge, and regional rituals to create what he describes as mestizo perfumery – a meeting point between science, tradition, and poetry. The result is a collection that invites wearers to experience fragrance as a connection to landscape, memory, and identity.
